My enthusiasm for photography started in 2001 after the birth of my eldest son. Being able to capture those precious early years and document his life became an obsession.
I found myself reading and researching photography with every spare moment, including undertaking a one year City and Guilds course at a local college. Although starting in traditional film based photography, the advancement of digital technology, and the inspiring results gained from it, made the conversion an obvious choice. For the past three years I have shot exclusively with digital, but regardless of which format you use the fundamentals are the same. Seeing an image and capturing a scene with the appropriate amount of light, content and mood is the recipe to a successful image or not, as a photographer I have this formula in mind regardless of what the subject is.
